Today’s kit is a great blend of custom drums and classy touches. The finish is a deep Modern Mahogany satin lacquer with classy True Gold glass glitter inlays spaced perfectly under the resonant side lugs. Pretty finishes and sharp photos don’t mean a thing without great sound. I’m happy to share the news that another studio, Sioux Sioux Studios out of Charlotte, is now rockin’ this beautiful set of Black Labels as their house kit. (Other North Carolina studios include Echo and Sound Temple) This setup features a 12″x8″ rack tom with suspension mount, 14″x14″ and 16″x16″ floor toms, and a thumping 22″x16″ bass drum. The finish is a beautiful Burnt Sienna satin lacquer with a light airbrushed fade. The bass hoops feature a pre-aged maple stain and satin glass glitter inlays. The result is a beautiful setup that compliments the vibe of the studio in both looks and sound. Check it out:
The natural depth & color of walnut makes an outstanding background for a thin 1/4″ pinstripe of Paua Abalone. This 14″x5.5″ snare features a steam bent 1-ply shell, solid brass tube lugs, solid brass single-flanged hoops and a Dunnett R4 strainer with quick release ends. The bearing edges feature a full round over for a very old school and warm sound. This drum also features all stainless steel internal screws, something I’m doing on most snares now. Check it out:
Beefy and light weight aluminum tube lugs, laser engraved wooden badge and custom painted Yamaha style wood hoops make this drum the most unique marching snare we’ve done in a while. The shell is a 14″x12″ 8-Ply maple finished in Pre-Aged Marine Pearl. The beefy aluminum tube lugs are powder coated in a satin chrome style finish that goes well with the aluminum finish on the Trick GS007 strainer. Yamaha style wood hoops finished in our Perfect Brown Satin Lacquer complete the sweet look and sound of this drum. Here’s another Deluxe Cocktail Kit, this one with a twist: All the badges are mounted opposite the normal placement so they face outward when setup for a left-handed drummer.
