Nesting kits are great for the drummer on the move. Easy to pack and port around, each nesting kit we build can be transported in a single case. This Phattie nesting kit features a 10″x8″ rack tom, 14″x11″ nesting floor tom, 18″x20″ nesting bass drum and a matching 14″x5″ snare. Each drum includes a soft case that slides smoothly inside the next drum. 10″ fits smoothly into the 14″ floor tom, and the floor tom and snare both fit cleanly inside the 18″ bass. Beautiful inlaid wood hoops and a modern mahogany satin lacquer prove that nesting kits don’t have to be just utilitarian, they can be beautiful as well. Check it out:

This kit in the beautiful Purple Pearl is a Deluxe setup with the nesting option. The drum is perfectly sized to accept the snare, tom, and pedal inside the main drum with each being in their own soft case. Many drummers put the floor tom legs and cymbal arms into a large stick bag, and slide that inside their cymbal case. When all is said and done, you’ve got one large case with all the drums, and one cymbal case with your ride/crash & hats, and mounting arms. Phattie 12″x7″ Puzzle Snare with ZoomQ3 sample

This cool little 12″x7″ Phattie snare features our exclusive Puzzle Glass Glitter wrap under chrome full-length tube lugs and 2.3mm hoops. The shell is a thin 6-ply maple with Evans HD batter head and bronze snare wires. The result is a very articulate drum with a ton of pop, and very few overtones. Here’s something cool we cooked up this week while finishing up a run of Dragon Snares. This is a 14″x7″ Sounds Like Art snare with a custom mixed red mahogany base, natural maple flames, and a Scorched top coat. After the scorched top coat is applied, it is carefully rubbed by hand to get just the right effect. Check it out:

This week has featured some exciting updates to our line of cocktail drums, found at CocktailDrumsets.com. The hi-hat and cymbal boom arms are now mounted using infinitely adjustable ratchet clamps, and a mini gig rug with Velcro-equipped pedal now come standard. One of the benefits to our new mounting system is the ability to position and use full-size cymbals, the setup below is pictured with 14 inch hats and an 18 inch crash/ride.
