Buzzcocks launched their North America ANOTHER…BITES Tour last night at the Black Cat in DC. Drummer Danny Farrant is rockin’ a fresh set of Black Label drums on this tour, featuring a 12″ rack tom, 16″ floor, 22″ bass, and 14″x5″ snare in Silver Glass Glitter. This Phattie Custom Shop kit features great sizes for some serious rock. The rack tom is a 13″x9″ and the floor toms are 16″x14″ and 18″x16″, all 6-ply maple. The bass is a massive 26″x16″ 8-ply maple, and the snare is a 14″x6.5″. The Radio King style lugs are special order on Phatties, and look great against the red glass glitter finish.
Here’s a custom job we just wrapped up for Zane with As Sick As Us, a local group that is making some waves. You can check them out tonight at the Boiler Room with Straight Line Stitch. Specs are 10×7 and 12×8 rack toms, 14×12 floor on a suspension cradle, 20×20 kick, and a massive 14×7 snare with 42-strand wires. The wood sections were stained inside and out, while leaving the bearing edges and joint overlaps natural maple. The contrast turned out great, check it out:
