The latest addition to the Copper Collection is this dark “Distressed Acid Etched” finish. Featuring black undertones with shiny streaks of copper between them, it has a much more earthy and dark look than the Blue-Etched and Drip-Etched finishes. Featuring a 10-ply maple shell in our popular 14″x7″ size, this Phattie snare sounds as good as it looks. Black plated hardware, a Trick GS007 strainer, Puresound wires and solid-brass tube lugs make for a stunning package. Check it out:

The 14″x7″ 10-Ply Phattie is the workhorse snare in the Phattie lineup. The shell thickness and depth combined with the Phattie bearing edge give it a wide tuning range, and the extra wide and smooth snare beds give it a ton of sensitivity at any dynamic range. This workhorse is laminated with a thin layer of acid etched copper for a true one-of-a-kind look and features a custom laser engraved wood badge. As we count down the days until the 21st Annual Chicago Drum Show, here’s another little beauty that will be on display. It’s a copper/maple hybrid featuring a 12″x7″ maple shell under a layer of acid etched copper. The black hardware really brings the finish to life, and due to the organic nature of the finishing process it’s truly one-of-a-kind.
