Today’s great little setup includes a great blend of modern and classic touches. Sizes include a 10″x8″ rack tom, 16″x16″ floor tom, and 20″x16″ bass drum. Finished in our Perfect Brown satin lacquer with True Gold inlays centered under the solid brass tube lugs. Black plated hardware gives a nice contrast to the finish, while a DW rail mount and shell mounted cymbal holder add a little bit of vintage functionality to the overall package. Check it out:

The 14″x5″ Dragon Snare is a fresh new size for 2011. This is the first one to leave the shop featuring 2.3mm hoops and the sound was spot-on, nice and crisp with beefy rim shots. The finish is a steel-blue stain with high gloss lacquer that really pulls out the detail of the carving and contrasts well with the black hardware. Check it out:
Todays post is another great example of the range of custom finishing techniques available on the Sounds Like Art line of carved drums. Big is beautiful! Todays kit features a 13″x12″ rack tom, 16″x14″ and 18″x16″ floor toms, and a 26″x14″ bass. All Phattie 100% maple specs with black hardware and a high gloss lacquered paint job. Aside from being silky smooth with a mirror like reflection this finish is also entirely water based. Less solvents and pollution go into the air, and the final finish buffs out to an amazing shine.
