Todays post is another great example of the range of custom finishing techniques available on the Sounds Like Art line of carved drums. This Black Label 14″x7″ work-horse style snare features our fresh new Pre-Aged Satin Glass Glitter. An ultra-low sheen top coat gives the glass glitter wrap a smoothly aged appearance without effecting the amount that it sparkles. Recently displayed at the 2011 Chicago Drum Show, this beautiful Sounds Like Art Dragon Snare turned a lot of heads. This model features a 14″x7″ maple shell finished in dark emerald green stain topped with a light brushing of gold. The protective clear coat is a semi-gloss satin lacquer, and black plated hardware rounds out this drum so it looks just as good as it sounds. The gold features a light metallic shimmer that accents the depth and detail of the wood carving, check it out:
Here’s another version of the new Hot Rod Glass Glitter, this one comes in a silver glass glitter base color that looks sharp against the black hardware. Standard Phattie Snare features all around, check it out:
This sweet 14″x7″ 10-Ply maple Phattie features one of the coolest sparkle wraps around. The “Modern Sparkle” style wrap features small metallic flakes that replicate the look of an automotive paint job. A charcoal base color with silver and blue pinstripes compliments the black hardware nicely.
