The coolest feature of this 14″x6″ Phattie snare is a custom air brushed badge in matching tangerine glass glitter. Offset from the shell by ten plies of maple, it’s a smooth addition to an already sharp looking snare. This striking set of Phattie’s features a deep emerald green satin lacquer with an airbrushed burst that carries over onto the custom wood hoops. A brushed satin finish on the hardware is the perfect compliment to the satin lacquer. Sizes include a 12″x9″ rack tom, 14″x14″ and 16″x16″ floor toms, a 22″x20″ bass, and a matching 14″x6″ snare drum. All drums feature claw-style wood hoops that give them a huge, deep, and warm sound. Here’s a sweet little Phattie 14″x6″ snare that features one of our new Custom Wraps. This particular one features a glass glitter base with a black background and yellow flames, accented by red air-brushed style highlights. This is the second custom snare recently built from this material, and the results are again more than expected. Built for a local drummer who’s been using a maple 14″x6.5″ and was looking for something more aggressive. The shell is 14″x6″ and 1/16″ thick with rounded bearing edges. It’s tricked out with a Dunnett MicRo Throw-off that features a quick release feature for quick head changes without having to take off the snare wires. Ten solid-brass tube lugs and bronze snare wires complete the package for a great sounding snare drum. It also looks pretty smooth with the brushed lacquer finish, check it out:
