This sharp looking set turned out great, a perfect blend of modern touches that keeps an overall sharp look. The contrast between the purple satin lacquer, the chrome, and the clear acrylic turned out even nicer than I anticipated. This recently finished Black Label kit is beautiful work of art, both in tone and visual appeal. The all-maple shells are veneered in Birds Eye Maple with a 1/4″ abalone shell inlay. Over the veneer and abalone a golden-amber toner was applied, than many coats of beautiful clear, buffed and polished to a silky smooth mirror shine. The sizes are 12″x8″, 14″x14″, and 20″x16″, with special order DW mounts on the 12″ and 14″, and heavy duty spurs on the bass. The photos tell the story on this one, check it out:
This beautiful example of Coke Bottle Green features 10″x8″ and 12″x8″ rack toms with special order Yamaha-style mounts, 16″x14″ floor tom, and a killer 20″x18″ bass. Coke Bottle Green is one of the best acrylic colors around, and for good reason, check it out:
This set of Phattie Drums dates from around early 2004. Featuring a beautiful Red Onyx finish over classic sizes, Slingerland lugs and a DW Rail Mount really complete the vintage vibe. The toms are 12″x8″, 14″x14″, and 16″x16″, with a matching 20″x14″ bass and 14″x6.5″ snare. It’s kits like this that eventually grew into the Black Label concept that we now offer. Check it out:
This custom Cocktail Kit recently left for a new home in the U.K., and was special ordered without the snare and with a larger tom. The drummer is planning to use an existing 14″ snare with this kit, hence the larger 12″ tom to compliment the overall larger sound. The main drum is our standard 16″x24″, with the same mounting hardware found on our Deluxe Cocktail Kits. The finish is a stunning Tangerine Glass Glitter, and looks extra classy with the Radio King style lugs, check it out:
