Today a set of custom laser engraved badges are getting their final touches and clear coats.  Next step: Being bolted onto a kit finished in our exclusive Puzzle wrap.  Photos and details on that setup next week.  In the mean time, check these out:

WIP – Saturday Inlay

Here’s a Work In Progress for a new studio in Asheville, Robert George Productions new Sound Temple Studios.  This kit features 10″, 12″, 14″, and 16″ toms, 18″ and 22″ bass drums, and a matching 14″ snare, all with fairly extensive inlay work, check it out:

WIP – Abalone inlay

Today I’m knee-deep in abalone shell.  Here’s it’s been applied to a 1/4″ groove cut in a one-ply maple, steam bent 13″ tom.  Check back next week for photos of the whole setup, with brushed-satin hardware.  I’m excited to see how this one turns out, check it:
