This is what happens when you bleach veneer, soak it in blue, and then smother it in high gloss lacquer until it looks a mile deep. Specs are : 14″x6″, die-cast hoops, quilted maple veneer, solid brass tube lugs, and one of the nicest paint jobs around. Dig it:

This is a great looking & sounding 13″x5″ snare. The shell is 10-plies of maple with an outer veneer of Quilted Maple. Dyed deep red and topped with a high-gloss clear, this drum really stands out. This unique Phattie Hybrid Snare is one of the better looking combination’s we’ve built over the years. The Ruby Red acrylic insert floats between sections of 10-ply maple finished in flat black, with flat black powder coating on all the hardware. A Dunnett R-Class strainer in black, 42-strand snare wires, and die cast hoops make sure this drum sounds and functions just as good as it looks.

One of our more unique snares, this is a 14″x8″ 10-Ply Hybrid Chamber snare. The bearing edges top and bottom are a full 30-plies thick with 45-degree bearing edges. The inner shell is a full 10-plies thick, and the outer shell is 1/4″ acrylic with a 1/4″ chamber between it and the inner shell, protecting the artwork. The maple sections are done in a satin black lacquer, while the hardware features Copper Vein powder coating over tube lugs and 2.3mm hoops, with a Trick strainer to round things out. The badge is our “Custom Shop” badge, and it is an available option when ordering a custom set of Phattie Drums, instead of the regular oval Phattie badge. This snare sounds just as good as it looks, and it looks amazing. Enjoy:

The main wood is Teak, with Maple 1-ply steam bent reinforcement rings. Finished in a semi-gloss oil base urethane, hand rubbed to a perfectly smooth sheen, and complimented by reproduction Radio King lugs, classic single-flanged hoops and clips, and a modern Dunnett R-class swivel strainer. A workhorse that’s also a work of art:

Here’s a sweet custom build that just left the shop. Phattie 14″x8″ Hybrid featuring a Navy Blue RCI acrylic center section and Blue Glass Glitter wrap on the maple sections. Solid brass tube lugs, a custom order Trick strainer, and super wide 42-strand snare wires really set this drum apart. Lots of attack and projection, but not in a harsh sense, great workhorse drum!
