The driving force behind Hank3, Scott Miller & the Commonwealth, and SweetTooth, Shawn started touring today with his new set of Black Label drums; Kicking it off with a benefit for Homes for Our Troops in Houston with Hank3.
Shawn’s new kit features a 13″x9″ rack tom, 16″x16″ floor, and 24″x14″ kick. Finished in True Black Glass Glitter and custom ordered with heavy duty bass spurs and 2.3mm hoops for a deeper, fatter tone. Great for some high powered rockabilly!
Jason Godek is the hard-hitting drummer behind Kill the Drama, out of Pennsylvania. Jason rocks a Phattie kit with a 13″x9″ rack tom, 16″x15″ and 18″x16″ floor toms, 24″x20″ bass drum, and a killer 14″x7″ snare. The finish is Silver Glass Glitter with a red glass pinstripe, looks great on stage, check it out:
Gary has been rockin’ his Black Label drums on tour for about six months now. Here he lays down some nice beats at the Orange Peel for us. Recorded on a Zoom Q3 with no effects or post-processing, they sound great:
Gary Jackson of The Movement just picked up his 14″x5.5″ Black Label work-horse snare while they were stopped over in Asheville. This is the standard “work horse” model featuring a 100% maple shell, 8 Radio King style lugs, 2.3mm hoops, wrapped finish, and the Dunnett R-Class strainer. A new set of Phatties on tour with the Eli Young Band graced Red Rocks this past weekend, check out these great IPhone pics from Chris! The rack tom is a 12, the floors are 16 and 18, and the bass is a 24. All feature inlayed wooden hoops and custom weathered nickel hardware. Sweet!
